Project Details
This project was completed for Dhi Periti, with Perit Adam Brincat leading the design team. The project was the rehabilitation of two basement vaults of a prominent building in Floriana for a major firm. The brief specified that one vault was to be used for small meetings and focus groups whilst the larger vault was to be companies main meeting hall. The design presented a set of new challenges which had to combine high technical requirements and respecting the historical architectural fabric.
The materials palette for the project created a balance between the warmth of the stonework along with sleek black lines. This difference also pronounced the various textures of the materials by balancing uneven and smooth surfaces to create a holistic executive look without losing the natural feel of the stone work.
